Who am I?

The words 'I' and 'MY', we use several times a day .
I am an eternal, sentient being that sees through the eyes, speaks through the mouth, visualize with the
intellect, experience desires and emotions with the mind. When you are asked – “Who are you?” then you mention your name, address, occupation etc. But all these are related to your body. When you say –“My head is aching then it is evident that you and your head are two different entities. We know that several thoughts arise in our mind, but all these, we don’t act upon. There is the faculty of intellect that decides which of the thoughts should be acted upon and then only the action is taken through the physical body. This shows that in reality, I am different from my mind, my thinking, my desire, my actions and the organs through which I act. My true identity is “I” the sentient “being” that owns the mind and body that thinks, desires and acts. This sentient being is the real person that says – my mind, my desire, my body etc. This eternal entity is called –“Soul” , psyche, Ruh, Atma and so on. It is made up of seven metaphysical energies that are identified as seven basic attributes or powers – knowledge, peace, love, joy, purity, power and bliss.

Om Shanti

Om Shanti is a very seet word as it reminds me of peace, originsl attribute of of the self, about its original abode, Shantidham and about my Supreme Father, God Shiva. ..These in turn help to remain peaceful irrespective of the envirnmental conditions.
